Capirinha Culture
Cachaça became a Brazilian identity through it’s most famous drink “Caipirinha”, that combines great taste, originality and the true Brazilian vibrant soul.
DO YOU KNOW WHAT “CAIPIRINHA” MEANS? : It means “girl from the countryside” as the drink was invented in the 19th century in the interiors of Sao Paulo state, where the sugar cane farmers were looking into a way to replace whisky, which was expensive and difficult to obtain.
Caipirinha is a piece of Brazilian culture and embodies a set of rules, myths and terminologies.

How it's made
Manual Cutting
To guarantee our quality and a sustainable process, all production comes from our producer's sugarcane fields. Modern techniques of cultivation, selection of special varieties, well-maintained fields and manual cutting are the foundations of our great ABOUT cachaças.Milling
Extracts the fresh sugar cane juice. Think on sustainability, the milled stalks are used on the boiler fire or as a natural fertilizer.Fermentation
The sugar cane juice is fermented using native yeasts, which convert sugar into alcohol. The strictly controlled process is critical to determine to the cachaças's bouquet.Distillation
After fermentation, small batches will be distilled in copper stills. Only the heart (the best part) is utilized in a completely handmade process.Storage
Cachaça is stored in wooden barrels or rested in stainless steel vats for at least 6 months.Bottling
Our strict quality control ensures the bottling of the product within the highest standards. In the case of ABOUT Brazil Gold a blend is made among different batches, creating a product of unique personality.Woods

- This difference in the process results in a unique chemical composition, which distinct the spirits and brings different sensory properties. Boiling the sugar cane juice alters the substances present in the product, such as aldehydes and higher alcohols. This ends up modifying the final taste of the drink.
