Cachaça, Rhum and Rhum Agricole

After almost 500 years (1532) since the first time it was produced, most of people still think Cachaça is a type of Rhum. The confusion is mostly because both came from Sugar Cane but the production process are completely diffferent.

Cachaça was the first distilled produced in Latin America and it's the most popular spirit in Brazil. It's also the main ingredient for the worldwide known drink as "caipirinha". And, because caipirinha is so famous, most of people also think that Cachaça could be only used to prepare caipirinha.
